Gary Alan Trafton

Gary Alan Trafton, 44 of International Falls, Minnesota died on Saturday, June 8, 2013 at his home.
He was born on October 22, 1968 at Minneapolis, MN. He moved to Wolf Pointe, MT in 1972 and later Intíl Falls in 1975.
He graduated from Falls High School in 1987 and later enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps. He was a proud Marine serving from 1987-1991 which included Operation Desert Storm where he served his country as a tank gunner on the front line. He was honorably discharged as a Marine Corporal.
He was united in marriage to the former Penny Grover on December 7, 1993.
His hobbies included reading and spending quality time Marshall and with family. He was also a lifetime member of the VFW.
He was preceded in death by his father; Michael, half-brothers; Tom and Jeff, paternal and maternal grandparents, sisters-in-law; Crissy Grover, many aunts and uncles.
Survivors include his wife; Penny Trafton, mother; June (Don) Alleman, daughter; Samantha Trafton, grandchildren; Marshall and Aleyha, sister; Brenda Long all of Intíl Falls.
Also survived by step-brothers; Don (Deb), Scott (Jean), Gene (Tanya), Dan (Mary Kay) and James (Jodi), step-sisters; Laurie (Kent) Alleman Anderson, Lisa (Kent) Christianson, Kelly (John) Golnick, Dixie (Brad) Good, Vicky (Trent) Steinbach, and Tracy (Jeff) Johannson, sisters-in-law; Lisa (Tim) Meetzee, Sarah Grafton, Tammy (James Strand) Monroe and Loretta (David) Martin.
Memorial services will be held on Friday, June 14, 2013 at 10:00 am at St. Paul Lutheran Church.
Interment will be held at Forest Hill Cemetery with full military rites.
